ya know, it's pieces like this, that make me wish I had a double favorite button. Absolutely stunning. I've been making leather armor for a couple of years now, and I have to admit, I've stolen more than a few ideas from you ;-). If you don't mind me asking, how long did this take!?

This is a killer. I can't imagine how much effort must've gone into this. It's a beauty.

Hi Sorry for the slow reply.
Thank you for the coments.
Yes It took weeks ,and yes it was all from scratch. There are a few different typs of leather here aligator, python ,sting rey, cow, lamb.
It's all hand cut with Exacto knives not that brand but that type. All the logo parts are stiched on the base parts of the jacket before the jacket is assembeled.
So for example the back of the jacket is cut out sewn together then the logo are drawn on a seperate hide and stiched to the back panel. then the excess is cut away
colse to the stich lines and without cutting into the base leather. If you look at the frame work you can see how the top layer wacut away from the other layers.this is a very complicated
piece. on my facebook you can see some more basic versions of this tecnique. I wish i could type and spell better.
Thank you
Logan

Over an hour but not more than two I'm guessing? ;p Because that looks like it would have taken much more :omg: Then again I don't know how much detail was on the base-jacket to begin with (unless you did the entire thing from scratch, which is even more impressive )

I like the thick cross-stitches around the main seams. I saw the front view and I like that a lot too, but the back is my favourite side of it. Give people something to stare at as you confidently walk past them :toocool:

please please please talk us through how you did this, as its amazing, and ive ruined a lot of leather trying "traditional leather carving" techniques
